The 47th annual conference of KSSP at the Govt. Girl’s Higher Secondary School, Malappuram today.  As many as 400 delegates from various districts are attending the conference. ( Click here for the speeches)

Prof. Malini Bhatacharya, noted Gender Activist, thinker and Chairperson of the Women’s  Commission, West Bengal inaugurated the conference, delivering a lecture on ,Gender and Culture in the Era of Globalization.’  Prof. Kavumbayi Balakrishnan,  State president presided over the function. A Vijayaraghavan MP, M. Ummer, MLA  ,  KSSP State Vice President K M Mallika, AIPSN President C P Narayanan were present at the inaugural session.  Reception Committee conver K K Janardanan   welcomed the guests and delegates  and  K Vijayan, KSSP Malappuram District Secretery proposed the vote of thanks. The latest edition of KSSP Books Bullentin, Pusthakakazhcha  was released by Prof. Malini Bhattacharya giving it to U Kalanathan of Kerala Yukthivadi Sanghm.

In the delegate session followed, Presided over by Kavumbayi  Balakrishnan, General Secretary V Vinod presented the annual report and the treasurer K P Raviprakash presented the income and expenditure statement.  In the evening Sri C P Narayanan presented the Perspective Report.  Prof V K Damodaran also addressed the delegates. The summary of the discussion followed on Annual Report and Organizational report s were presented by  delegates from various districts.

There was also a Sastra Jatha (Rally) in the town in the evening.  An exhibition was also organized by the reception committee.
